The lake shore of Montreux at night. This is an 11 minute exposure taken from the balcony of our hotel room on a stormy night.
After a day of clouds and rain, we left the restaurant where we had dinner and I saw that the sun was about to peek through. I had my camera bag with me though it has not gotten much action the whole day, so I ran down to the lake and made it just in time for the last few rays to hit the clouds and the waves. The contrast of gloomy clouds and joyful sun rays had something peaceful about it and it made up for another rained out vacation day.
I saw this poor kid pushing his bicycle up a very steep hill with the storm clouds moving in quickly. You could clearly see how much he was in a hurry to make it home before the rain starts.
