Milkyway over Glacier National Park
The day I wanted to do my Milky Way shot out in Glacier National park, the air was filled with smoke and haze from a nearby wildfire. It made for a beautiful sunset, but a challenging night shot.
After the sun set, the smoke started to settle a bit and visibility at the higher elevations got better. There is still quite a bit of airglow visible in the picture, but, I actually like the additional colors in the night sky.
This is a composite of about 30 exposures at 10 seconds each for the sky, stacked in Sequator with the foreground being about 50 exposures, stacked in Photoshop. In addition, I've used about another 30 exposures for the light trails of the cars
